Humpback Whales.

I took these pictures of a miracle.

It's not every day that you can take a boat out to the Farallon Islands and see this. Sure, you might see a humpback whale or two and one might even breach. But we came upon a group of three, and we counted no less that 36 breaches in about fifteen minutes.
That's nearly unheard of. And right next to the boat!

The breaching of a humpback whale is one of the most extraordinary and beautiful occurrences in nature.

We saw it 36 times.
