Looking down off of that high railing, you see the Otowa-No-Taki

(Sound of Feathers Waterfall)

The water emerges from Mt.Otowa and is listed as the first ranking of the ten clearest Japanese water sources.




This was one of hundreds of these flowers lining the mountain wall behind me
as I took the picture below.



The shinto area of Kiyomizu.
Although Kiyomizu temple is Buddhist, it shares its space with the Shinto religion.
