MythTickle is pretty much a family comic strip for ages 13 and up about creatures and deities from myth and legend, all living in the same place and trying to get along. Usually portrayed as kids or young teens, most of the characters attend school (occasionally) under the tutelage of their teacher, Ms. Nature.
The current book, Into the Mythic, contains chosen strips I have done over the past 15 years and some extras that some avid readers have asked to see. The book includes a cast list, some blue-line sketch work I did while drawing these strips, and a couple of frequently asked questions pages. Along with nearly 200 strips or so, there are a few new ones that I have never published, along with two experimental strips I did some years ago when I was contemplating a second comic.
MythTickle has undergone some visual changes over all that time, and I hope you have some fun noticing that. Earlier on, I used a brush pen to ink everything on regular paper. At some point, I decided to save a tree or two by doing the entire strip, sketch-to-color, on a Wacom computer screen. Other than the continuing storylines in the book, I decided to mix up these strips and not place them in any chronological order.
I will personally sign each book; if you’d like a dedication to someone, I will personalize it. Just type the message you’d like me to write in the box provided when purchasing your book.
I really hope you enjoy my new book and my work, and if you do, please spread the word to your friends.
Thank you so much!
